Its time. Thoughts running sideways through my mind.

The twins used to be so sweet. What in the world happens to make 16 year olds turn into big, scary monsters? On most days, I'm afraid to ask a question, in fear of the daggers shooting out of their eyeballs. I'd rather jump off a large bridge than deal with the wrath of my 16 year old daughter. Don't get it twisted though...she's sweet as pie until I ask her something or remind her to do something I've already asked of her. I'm continually reminding myself, I am the parent. This is my job.
Her twin brother is much more lax about life and doesn't try my patience nearly as much. Thank goodness for that, if I had to deal with twice the daggers every single day, I'd surely be dead. I've reached out to other parents and asked about the whole "teenage" thing with girls. It seems most say it will pass. I'm wondering why the hell I should give her a "pass" for being rude and nasty...no one gave me a pass when I turned 40.
